Cleddau Brewing Co. is named after the river that runs through our home. Supporting its long-term health is not a campaign or seasonal initiative — it is embedded into how we operate.
With every release, a fixed contribution is set aside as part of the business itself. That fund is directed to practical local work, including habitat improvement, access, monitoring, and recovery.
This approach ensures that giving back to the river is consistent, structured, and ongoing — built into the brewery from the outset, not added as an afterthought.

Founded by Cleddau Brewing Co., Brewed to Give Back is a national initiative encouraging breweries to make a meaningful contribution to their local environment or community. From river restoration and habitat creation to local projects and charitable support, the aim is simple: ensure that brewing success is shared with the places that sustain it.
We designed Brewed to Give Back to be an accessible gateway to responsible brewing. It complements recognised standards such as SIBA’s Green Key, encouraging breweries to take positive steps while continuing to improve their environmental practices over time. Our ambition is to see Brewed to Give Back become a benchmark across the brewing industry, helping breweries large and small make a difference in ways that matter locally. Those who do can proudly display the mark on their products.
For Cleddau Brewing Co., Brewed to Give Back begins with the rivers that share our name. The Cleddau waterways are central to Pembrokeshire’s landscape and heritage, and a share of our efforts is directed towards protecting and supporting these environments for future generations.
